CAIRO: Shebin president Abdel-Monem Shiha confirmed that Zamalek have launched negotiations to sign club defender Mohamed Adel in January.

The 22-year-old player has earlier revealed that Ahly were interested in acquiring his services, and the mounting interest from the Cairo giants seems to have raised the player s price tag.
We have set a new price for the player. Any club interested in luring him will have to pay Shebin LE 3 million in addition to 25 percent of the player s next transfer, added Shiha.
Adel, who plays as a sweeper and can also be deployed as a defensive midfielder, has been featuring for Shebin in the Egyptian first division since he was 17.
