CAIRO: Al Ahly playmaker Mohamed Abou Trika can recover in time to take part in his side s Cairo derby against Zamalek, the club s doctor Ehab Ali said on Sunday.
The talented midfielder sustained a knee injury in Ahly s 1-0 victory Ghazl Mahalla in the Egyptian League earlier this month.
Ahly fans feared their inspirational man would miss out on Zamalek clash but Ali stated that there is a possibility Abou Trika can take part in the anticipating game.
Abou Trika has undergone a successful surgery in Germany. He has a chance of featuring against Zamalek, Ali said.
Ahly, who are close to claiming a fourth successive league title, entertain arch-rivals Zamalek on Friday.
