CAIRO: Ivorian striker Vincent Die Foneye headed the ball home with two minutes remaining to help ENPPI secure a place in the Egyptian Cup final following a thrilling 3-2 victory over Arab Contractors.
Rami Rabie put Contractors in front after nine minutes but his side s lead did not last for long, thanks to Islam Awad s equalizer five minutes later.
ENPPI went ahead in the 20th minute through Abdel Aziz Tawfiq before Ahmed Abdel Aziz restored parity 14 minutes from time.
Die Foneye s last-gasp header helped ENPPI secure an invaluable win over a resilient Contractors side.
Both sides finished with ten men on the field. ENPPI full-back Abdullah Ragab received his marching orders in the 75th minute for a second bookable offense.
Six minutes later, Contractors defender Mahmoud Bayoumi was sent-off for picking up a second yellow.
ENPPI booked their place in the cup final for the second time in four years. The Petroleum club won the title in 2005 when they beat Alexandria-based club Ittihad 1-0.
They will face Zamalek in the competition s final on May 25th after the Cairo giants defeated Harras Al-Hodoud 2-1 on Tuesday.
