CAIRO: Ahly defender Wael Gomaa revealed that he was approached by Saudi side Hilal.
But the 32-year-old center back told Hilal to negotiate with his club.
Hilal bosses called me but I asked them to start talks with Ahly, Gomaa told FilGoal.com.
Gomaa spent the past six months on loan to Qatari side Al-Siliya and put on impressive displays.
Hilal are reportedly ready to cash $600,000 to land Gomaa on loan or double the bid and sign him on permanent basis.
The Saudi giants are looking for a replacement to Brazilian defender Marcelo Tavares.
