CAIRO: Zamalek players have been prohibited from holding press interviews without taking the club s permission.

The Cairo giants said on Sunday that any player who violates the new rule will be fined LE 25,000.

Zamalek s decision comes in the aftermath of their stunning 1-0 Egyptian League defeat to Gaish.

German coach Reiner Hollmann wants Zamalek players to fully concentrate on the league campaign, especially after being eliminated from the CAF Champions League.

The White Knights are third in the league table with 13 points, four behind leaders Petrojet, who played two extra matches.

They next face ENPPI, who lie second after making an impressive start to their campaign.

Meanwhile, Zamalek playmaker Alaa Kamal has recovered from a muscle strain. He is fit to take part in the ENPPI game.

Kamal has made few appearances with Zamalek since joining from Arab Contractors in the close season.
