CAIRO: Zamalek skipper Ayman Abdel-Aziz has been ruled out of the club s crucial away game against league leaders Petrojet on Nov. 14 due to injury.
The midfielder will not be traveling with the squad to Suez after skipping the team s Wednesday training session because of a muscle injury.
The former Trabzonspor man is the latest of a long absentees list for Zamalek, after coach Reiner Hollmann s decision to suspend five first team players.
Gamal Hamza, Mohamed Aboul-Ella, Osama Hassan, Ricardo and Wissem Abdi were all ordered not to train with the first team following Zamalek s poor draw against Arab Contractors.
In order to fill the gap left by suspensions, Hossam Arafat, Alaa Ali, Ahmed Ibrahim, Ahmed Al-Marghani and Ahmed Maher were all promoted from the Under-21 squad to take part in the Petrojet game.
