CAIRO: Wigan Athletic striker Amr Zaki is set to miss his team s Premiership clash with West Bromwich Albion on Saturday due to an ongoing calf injury.
The Egyptian international has missed the Latics last two league games because of the injury, and manager Steve Bruce said that it s likely that Zaki won t be fit to feature against West Brom.
We re hoping Zaki won t be out for too long but we don t think he ll make it this weekend, Bruce was quoted as saying by Wigantoday.net.
He s been playing with the injury for a while and we want him fit for the busy winter months.
The 25-year-old attacker has been a tremendous success for Wigan since joining the club on a one-year loan deal from Zamalek, hitting eight goals and single-handedly winning games for Steve Bruce s men.
