ISMAILIYA: Ismaili are close to signing Iraqi goalkeeper Nour Sabri from his homeland team Al-Talaba, as he has reached a final agreement with the coastal club.

I met up with Ismaili s officials and we have agreed on the contractual clauses, and worked out all the details, the keeper told Modern Sports T.V.

I am signing the contract on Wednesday morning.

Moreover, Sabri s agent Mohamed Shiha confirmed that the transfer is going to be sealed within few hours.

The 24-year-old keeper would be the fourth expatriate in Ismaili squad, alongside fellow Iraqi Mostafa Karim, Guinea s Samuel Johnson and newly-signed striker John Jambo.

Ricardo Ferreira s men were tipped a while back to land a new goalkeeper, following a series of fluctuating performances by current first keeper Mohammed Sobhi.

The 27-year-old repeatedly made a number of deadly blunders, and cost his team dearly over the last few years.

Sabri is presumably capable of putting an end to the Dervishes disadvantage when he stands between the sticks.

In 2007, the Iraqi international put on riveting displays with his country in the AFC Asian Cup, having been named the best keeper in the continental championship.

He s also set to take part in the upcoming FIFA Confederations Cup in 2009.
