CAIRO: Ahly will be without Mohamed Barakat and Ahmed Hassan when they face Nigeria s Kano Pillars in the CAF Champions League next week.
The midfield duo, who missed Monday s draw in Mahalla with respective injuries, pulled out of the squad which was scheduled to travel to Nigeria on Wednesday.
Barakat is nursing a hamstring injury, whereas Egypt captain Hassan is still suffering from an ankle problem sustained in last month s World Cup qualifier with Zambia.
Striker Osama Hosni has also been excluded with a hamstring injury, but out-of-favor Ahmed Hassan Farag made the list.
Goalkeeper Amir Abdel-Hamid was included after recovering from a hamstring problem as well.
