CAIRO: Zamalek striker Gamal Hamza said he didn t hold talks with Ahly s officials over a summer deal as recently reported, saying he would never join the Red Devils at any point in the future.

State-run daily paper Al-Ahram mentioned that Ahly president Hassan Hamdi refused to offer Hamza a deal, after the latter s name was suggested as a potential off-season signing.

From his side, the 27-year-old hitman stressed that none of the Egyptian champions officials contacted him.

I didn t call on Ahly to acquire my services, and nobody started negotiations with me either, the player told Dream TV.

Even if they wanted me, I would never accept their overtures. For me Ahly are no option.

I m a loyal Zamalek homegrown footballer, I have been playing at the club since I was seven years old, and it s impossible to seal a move to their arch-rivals Ahly.

When asked about his future, Hamza reiterated that he s seeking to move to a European club.

I want to play in Europe, I don t want to have another spell in Egypt, he stated.

Hamza had recently signed an initial agreement with Sweden second tier Vasalund IF, but the White Knights refused to give him the green light to leave.
