CAIRO: Zamalek striker Amr Zaki is set to return to his club s training on Monday after recovering from a thigh injury he picked up three weeks ago.
Zaki has now fully recovered after he completed a successful rehabilitation program, Zamalek chief physician Mostafa Al-Monayeri told the club s official website.
[Zaki] will gradually return to training in order to be ready for Zamalek s off-season camp in Switzerland.
Zaki s injury prevented him from taking part in Egypt s Confederations Cup campaign in South Africa.
After spending last season on loan at Wigan Athletic in the English Premiership, Zaki is likely to stay with Zamalek next season.
Despite expressing a desire to stay in Europe, the 26-year-old is yet to receive any offers from clubs there.
In the meantime, club midfielder Ayman Abdel-Aziz will undergo further tests on Saturday to determine his fitness level.
The ex-skipper, who spent the last six month on loan at Konyaspor in the Turkish Super Lig, is suffering from a calf injury.
