CAIRO: Zamalek playmaker Mahmoud “Shikabala Abdel-Razeq is set to make his league comeback against Gaish on Thursday, after shaking off a groin problem.

The influential midfielder took part in Monday s training session, after he was given the all-clear to get back in action.

Shikabala is ready to make return, Zamalek s chief medic Mostafa Al-Monayeri told FilGoal.com. If he was kept on the sidelines, it would be for technical reasons.

The 23-year-old was injured in the White Knights 2-2 draw with Arab Contractors last month, and has been out of action ever since.

During his lay-off, Shikabala missed Zamalek s 1-0 league win over Ittihad, and Egypt s 1-0 victory at Rwanda in the World Cup qualifying stage.

Now Zamalek have only one injured player in Alaa Ali.

Ali will participate in Wednesday s training, but he s definitely ruled out of the clash with Gaish, Al-Monayeri said.
