CAIRO: Ahly s troubled goalie Amir Abdul-Hamid apologized for verbally assaulting head coach Hossam Al-Badri, the Red Devils official website stated.

The out-of-favor guardian was banned for an indefinite period and had his salary suspended for overreacting to Al-Badri s decision to leave him out of a League game nearly a fortnight ago.

Reports said Ahly might transfer-list Abdul-Hamid, who has become a third-choice keeper this season after failing to fill the void left by the departure of Essam Al-Hadari in February 2008.

Although Amir ate humble pie, the Cairo club s football committee is yet to decide whether or not to grant him a reprieve.

He took part in training and apologized for his misconduct, and I accepted his apology, Al-Badri told Ahly s official website.

However, the final decision on his future will be made by the football committee.

Abdul-Hamid will be questioned by the club soon, and he should learn fate shortly after.

Previously, the 30-year-old revealed that he would either join another Egyptian Premier League club or move to the US in the winter transfer window.
