CAIRO: Ittihad captain Shadi Mohamed is convinced that the Alexandrian club will never hit peak form as long as they don t have their own training ground, saying they occasionally train on the coast.
The coastal side have been training on separate pitches for quite a while, which eventually prompted a severe dispute between the players and the club s board.
Ittihad have suffered recurring losses this season, and Mohamed believes that Carlos Cabral s men cannot redeem themselves under the current circumstances.
They can t ask us to improve ourselves and bring the team back to winning ways while we don t have our own training ground, the former Ahly skipper told FilGoal.com.
We even go to the beach to do the fitness exercises, he added.
Ittihad now lie in penultimate place in the Egyptian Premier League table with five points, having lost five games out of eight.
