CAIRO: An Italian charter plane carrying 110 passengers heading to the Red Sea resort of Sharm El-Sheikh made an emergency landing in Cairo on Saturday after the cockpit windshield shattered, the Mena agency said.
The captain was given permission to make an emergency landing at Cairo International Airport, Mena reported without giving details on what caused the crack.
During the landing, an Italian tourist was lightly injured when his head hit the seat in front of him. He was taken to a nearby hospital. -AFP
