Al Sisi receives Slovenian counterpart in Cairo

President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi received his Slovenian counterpart president Borut Pahor in Cairo on Monday afternoon, the state-affiliated Akhbar Al-Youm reported. This is the first visit to Egypt by the Slovenian president.

Pahor was received by the Minister of International Cooperation Sahar Nasr upon his arrival at the Cairo International airport, the newspaper reported.

Both presidents held a press conference in the presidential palace in Heliopolis, in which they spoke about ways to enhance bilateral commercial relations. The Slovenian president Pahor also invited Al-Sisi to visit Slovenia.

According to Akhbar Al-Youm, the Slovenian President’s two-day visit will include meetings with Prime Minister Sherif Ismail and head of the Parliament Ali Abdul Aal. He is also expected to attend an Egyptian-Slovenian business forum in which 13 Slovenian companies are expected to participate.
