Ahmed Kandil, country manager of XTouch Egypt, said that the company aims to increase its market share in the Egyptian market in 2017 to control 6% of mobile market sales. The company is also working to reach an agreement with one of the mobile companies to provide 4G-compatible mobile phones.

Kandil added that the company has two main centres for technical support in Cairo and Alexandria, whereas it has over 150 service centres located around the country. Kandil believes that the Egyptian market needs high-quality phones for low prices. According to the statistics the company obtained from specialised offices, about 10% of mobile users in Egypt use traditional phones, whereas 25% use tablets and 65% use smartphones.

Xtouch has partnered with 4Link in order to make the latter a certified distributor of its products, which will allow Xtouch to form a wide base of mobile phone users in the Egyptian market. This will also help expand the range of the company’s operations in the Middle East and Africa.

4Link will enhance Xtouch’s local presence, as well as the promotion of the new generation of smartphones and Xtouch tablets.

Kandil noted that 4Link is one of the major distributors in Egypt. “This has made us ascribe after-sales work to 4Link, in addition to spare parts selling, and the development of the retailers and distributors network,” Kandil said.
