3% decline in iPhone prices, 4% in iPads this month

The price of iPhones declined by 3% in February, where according to the new price list of Apple products, the iPhone 7 Plus has declined by 3%, from EGP 19,999 to EGP 19,399, whereas the price of the iPhone 7 Plus-28GB declined from EGP 22,699 to EGP 22,018. The iPhone Plus 7-256GB declined from EGP 25,299 to EGP 24,540.

The iPhone 6S Plus-16GB declined from EGP 14,999 to EGP 14,249, while the iPhone 6S Plus-32GB declined from 16,899 to EGP 16,054.

iPads also declined by 4%, where the iPad Pro-32GB declined from EGP 17,299 to EGP 16,607. The iPad Pro-128GB declined from EGP 19,599 to EGP 18,815.

For his part, Waleed Ramadan, head of the mobile communications division in the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, said that the prices of phones will decline by 10% to 18% this month if the dollar’s exchange rate continues to decline.

The price list of Samsung has declined by 8%-19%. The dollar decline this week led Samsung agents to reduce the prices on each device by EGP 300 to EGP 2,000, depending on the model.

The price of the Galaxy S7 Edge LTE declined by 19% from EGP 15,300 to EGP 12,400, while the Galaxy Note 5ds declined to EGP 10,650 from EGP 11,700—a 9% decline.

The Galaxy A7 declined by 7% to EGP 8,450 from EGP 9,100, while the Galaxy J7 declined 8.5% from EGP 4,140 to EGP 3,800.
