Uber signed a partnership with Al Mansour Automotive Company (MAC) to provide special benefits and facilities to Uber drivers. As part of the new partnership, drivers will be able to purchase Chevorlet Optra Comfort 2017 for EGP 195,000 instead of EGP 210,000, in addition to a 20% discount on spare parts and a 15% discount for Chevrolet spare parts currently operating in Uber.
The partnership is part of Uber’s commitment to provide more economic opportunities for Egyptians through its technological solutions. By offering discounts on cars and spare parts, current and future drivers will be able to sustain their income more consistently with Uber application.
The general manager of Uber Egypt, Abd El Latif Waked, commented on the new partnership, saying “offering more benefits to Uber drivers will help them benefit from Uber technology in addition to increasing their income, which will eventually help them achieve financial stability through the currently imposed economic challenges.”
Waked added, “through our conversations with the drivers, we have made sure that discounts during or after the purchase encourages them to continue working with Uber. Moreover, these offers will help anyone who wanted to join Uber but couldn’t find a suitable car.”
Since the agreement entered into force about a month ago, more than 100 partners have been offered to Uber taking advantage of the new offer.
Meanwhile, Lotfi Mansour, the head of the automotive sales and marketing at MAC, said, “we are honoured to partner with Uber in Egypt to offer more car benefits to Uber drivers, especially that market prices are changing and drivers will be able to redirect their income to other expenses.”
“This move will also open the door for more individuals to join Uber to increase their income. This partnership is in line with the vision of our company as an Egyptian national company that helps to develop society through a number of social responsibility programs.,” said Mansour.
Since its launch in Egypt, Uber has been keen to partner with a number of leading companies in Egypt from various industries to provide the best solutions and facilities to cars to its partners through the unique technology of Uber. One of the partnerships is with Rawag recruitment company, which provides partner financing solutions. Other partnerships are with Altibbi to provide free medical consultation to drivers and their families, and with Nacita Auto Care, which provides rescue services in the north coast this summer as well as being a maintenance and inspection destination for Uber partners throughout the year.
The Uber and MAC offers are available from now and until December 2017 and can be obtained from four branches of MAC in Cairo and two branches in Alexandria.
