The Egyptian Stock Exchange is hosting the 21st Annual General Meeting and Flagship Conference 2017 (ASEA Conference), under the title of “Africa Mapping the Future”, during the period from 19 to 21 November 2017, in Cairo, under sponsorship of the Egyptian Prime Minister Sherif Ismail.
The list of attendees includes Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr, a large number of African ministers, in addition to delegations from various regional and international financial institutions.
Ahmed Abou ElSaad, member of board of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) and chief of the board at “Rasmala Egypt Asset Management” asserted that hosting the ASEA 21st Conference 2017 in Egypt is a great constructive step to obtain Egypt’s position in the region as the hub centre of investment.
“Dubai markets itself now as the hub of investment in the region, including Africa, particularly as recent flights from Dubai to Africa make the city a closer destination to any African county, in comparison to Egypt,” he said.
Abou ElSaad confirmed that it is necessary to maintain continuous communication between EGX and other African stock markets in order to promote investment opportunities in Egypt.
The conference is a vital opportunity for investors and investment funds to enhance Egypt’s position as the foremost investment market for African countries, he added, noting that Egypt has to seize that chance to attract African investments into Egypt.
