Goal drought

Elsewhere, three games ended with no goals as four teams from the bottom half of the table went head to head.

Ghazl Mahalla were held to a goalless draw by Gouna, while the same scorline ruled the game between Masri and Arab Contractors in Port Said.

Ismaili failed to move third after another stalemate at Police Union, who also missed out on a top-five spot.
