New diplomats' village at Emaar's Mivida

CAIRO: Emaar Misr, the wholly owned subsidiary of UAE-based Emaar Properties, unveiled a residential village for Egypt’s diplomatic community in its Mivida development, according to a statement.

Located in New Cairo’s Fifth District, Mivida is a LE 5.75 billion integrated development with several residential villages offering fully finished and managed homes, and commercial and retail buildings.

The office buildings are currently under construction and the community also features healthcare centers, schools, retail outlets and hotels.

Mr Ronald Krater of JZMK, the US-based master-planner of Mivida, flew in from the US to present the development’s design concept to the diplomatic community at the Egypt Diplomat Club.

The presentation organized was attended by officials of the foreign ministry, ambassadors and other diplomats.

Hazem Ashry, general manager of Emaar Misr, said: “Mivida is a world-class integrated lifestyle development, which was designed to cater to the refined taste of upscale clientele,” as evidenced by the diplomatic community’s choice of Mivida.

Mivida is anchored by a 33-acre central park in addition to other smaller parks, walking trails, promenades and cycling trails.

Homes in Mivida also feature ‘smart’ technology that promoting efficient energy and water use.

Emaar Misr is also developing the LE 12 billion Uptown Cairo and the LE 9.92 billion Marassi, both of which are on schedule with the first homes to be handed over later this year, the firm said.
