Mobile service subscribers increased during the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2017 to 101.3 million subscribers, compared with 99.4 million in Q3 last year, an increase of 1.8%.
According to a report by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the ratio of mobile subscriptions against population scored 111.6% in Q4 last year, compared to 110% in Q3.
Meanwhile, landline subscribers increased by 1% in the same period.
The number of landline users increased from 6.5 million in Q3 to 6.6 million in Q4.
Landline penetration scored 6.9% against population, up slightly from 6.8% in Q3.
The report showed that mobile internet users increased slightly by 0.1% in the reporting period.
Mobile internet users increased from 32.7 million in Q3 2017 to 32.8 million in Q4 2017.
The report pointed out that the USB modem internet users base was unchanged at 3.3 million users.
The number of high-speed ADSL users increased by 5%, rising from 4.9 million in Q3 to 5.2 million in Q4.
