The 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia will witness historic Arab participation, as four Arab football teams have qualified for the World Cup.
Egypt topped the list of the Arab teams qualified to the World Cup in terms of market value, surpassing its traditional rival Morocco, thanks to Liverpool’s star Mohamed Salah.
Salah would be worth around £150m if he was to leave Liverpool in the summer, ranking third in the list of the 10 most expensive players in the world. Salah’s high market value pushed his national team’s market value to about €200.98m according to the website Transfermarkt.
The Moroccan team had a market value of €121.85m, while Tunisia reached €54.78m, followed by Saudi Arabia at only €22.50m.
According to those figures, the Egyptian international Salah is more expensive than the other Arab teams.
