Rosatom will train 2,000 Egyptians to operate and maintain the nuclear energy plant in Dabaa according the meeting agreement signed with Egypt, specified Yulia Sheinkovichka, head of Business Development at Rosatom Services. The aim of the training is to transfer experience to Egyptians, as was the case in many other projects in other countries.

She added that Rosatom has provided scholarships in the field of physics and nuclear sciences to 43 Egyptian students. They will be qualified to work in a nuclear energy plant following their graduation.

Sheinkovichka explained that Rosatom’s tasks on contracting to establish a project do not aim to only implement but also transfer expertise and prepare working individuals who are able to benefit their community.

“Vietnam’s nuclear programme was postponed, however, we still managed to train and teach about 300 students nuclear sciences.”
