The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities announced on Saturday that it has activated a hotline to receive complaints and inquiries of the tourism sector workers.
The hotline was activated on Saturday morning, with tourism workers able to make calls to the number 19654. It has been set up in accordance with an agreement between Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled El-Anani and Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat, during their meeting late last week.
Abdel Fattah Al-Assi, Assistant Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for monitoring tourism facilities, said the hotline representative will take the caller’s data and complaint or inquiry and present them to the relevant ministry department. An investigation will then be carried out for the appropriate solution, with the customer service reaching out to the complainant as follow-up.
Al-Assi said that calls can be made all the week, even during holidays, from 9:00 to 17:00.
He added that the same hotline number (19654) can also be used for tourist inquiries and suggestions. He noted that the ministry has already received a number of inquiries and complaints, but it preferred to assign a call centre to receive both tourist and employee calls.
