The Semiramis InterContinental Cairo Hotel has officially been granted a health and safety certificate from the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Ministry of Health, and the Egyptian Hotel Association (EHA).
The hotel received the certification following an inspection to ensure they are fully compliant with general safety regulations and precautionary measures to curb of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) spread. The hotel can now receive guests up to 50% of its capacity.
The hotel has implemented social distancing and additional hygiene measures, in line with Ministry of Health guidelines, and public health advice from the World Health Organization (WHO).
“As the world adjusts to new travel norms and expectations, we’re enhancing the experience for you, our hotel guests, by redefining cleanliness and supporting wellbeing throughout your stay,” the hotel said in a press statement.
The hotel added, “Our new standards are backed by an InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) Clean Promise to give our guests confidence when they stay in IHG hotels.”
