Held under the patronage of Egypt’s President, H.E. Abdel Fattah El Sisi, supported by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, the fifth edition of EGYPS 2022, under the theme “North Africa and the Mediterranean: Delivering Energy Today”, will take place from 14-16 February 2022 at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre. The three-day leading energy exhibition and conference in North Africa and the Mediterranean region launches a year of strategic energy dialogue to map out the transition of the oil, gas, and energy industry towards sustainability.
The EGYPS 2022 exhibition will serve as a catalyst for investment and multi-sector cooperation across the oil and gas value chain. This year, a major showcase of the latest oil and gas solutions featuring more than 450 exhibitors, including Apache, bp, Chevron, Eni, Kuwait Energy, Shell, Total Energies, Wintershall DEA, Cheiron, Dragon Oil, ExxonMobil, Petronas and 25 NOCS and IOCS, as well international pavilions hosting world-class companies and products from leading energy countries including China, Cyprus, Germany, Greece, Italy, Russia, and the UAE.
The conference will host 11 international energy ministers, 19 CEOs, and 8 secretary generals who will discuss long-term energy transition objectives in relation to regional energy markets’ goals of self-sufficiency and sustainability in the short-term.
Energy Ministers will take part in Ministerial Panels discussing these changing energy dynamics including Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, the Cypriot Minister of Energy Commerce and Industry, Natasa Pilides, the Jordanian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Dr. Saleh Al Kharabsheh, Djibouti’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Yonis Ali Guedi, the Yemeni Minister of Oil and Minerals Republic of Yemen, Abdul Salam Baaboud, Chairman Palestinian Energy & Natural Resources Authority, Zafer Melhem, the Senegalese Minister of Petroleum and Energies, Dr. Aissatou Sophie Gladima. EGYPS 2022 will recognize the achievements of the 42 finalists shortlisted for 11 award categories, as reviewed by the Awards Advisory Committee. the winner is announced during three ceremonies, namely: The HSE Excellence in Energy Awards Global Equality in Energy Awards, and Global Finance & Investment Awards.
