e-finance announced that it has begun its first steps to activate its partnership with the General Authority for Comprehensive Health Insurance by commissioning the start of first phase services in the operation and management of the Comprehensive Health Insurance System.
As part of this partnership, e-finance, in cooperation with e-health — a sister company of the e-finance Group — will provide technical support services to system users in hospitals, centres, health units, and the headquarters of the bodies affiliated to the health insurance system.
This is in addition to providing management and configuration services for components of the system, infrastructure monitoring services, management services, operation services, support for the comprehensive health insurance system, and system monitoring services.
The first phase of the agreement will include citizens benefiting from the system in five governorates — Port Said, Luxor, Ismailia, Suez, and South Sinai — through approximately 140 hospitals, centres, and medical units employing approximately 14,000 specialists, which are expected to reach more than 20,000 specialists by the end of 2022.
Hossam Sadek — Executive Director of the Comprehensive Health Insurance Authority — said that the step paves the way for the successful launch of the system in the first phase governorates. He also said that the authority is cooperating with all of its partners to implement the system with the highest level of efficiency and in a manner that provides an excellent health service worthy of the Egyptian citizen in the new republic.
Hassan Al-Sukari — CEO and Managing Director of e-health — said that the launch, management, and operation of the system is a cornerstone of the company’s strategy and objectives, which aim to consolidate its position in the market as an open platform for all institutions and companies wishing to provide digital solutions that serve the healthcare sector.
The Comprehensive Health Insurance System is one of the largest national projects of the Egyptian government and aims to improve the health of the Egyptian people by ensuring appropriate treatment for all members of Egyptian families with distinguished service and global quality in a sustainable manner.
The announcement of the activation of the partnership came as a culmination of the successful participation of the authority and e-health in the first African Medical Conference, which was held from 5 to 7 June 2022.
The bilateral participation witnessed the launch of a campaign to raise awareness of the benefits of the system for individuals and medical staff by promoting the slogan ‘Your Partners in Digital Health’, which the two parties agreed to choose as a unifying slogan for them during the conference.
