International Designer Kim Jones will organise the next Dior men’s pre- fall collection show at the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt for the first time, Women`s Wear Daily (WWD) reported.

The men’s pre-fall collection is scheduled to be unveiled on 3 December against the backdrop of the pyramids of Giza near Cairo.

This is the first time for Dior to present a show in Egypt, following events in Italy, Greece, Spain, South Korea, China, the UK, and the US in recent years. The French fashion house’s spring 2004 haute couture collection, designed by John Galliano, was a tribute to Ancient Egypt.

Meanwhile, it is not the first time for Egypt to witness such fashion shows, as the Lebanese fashion designer Elie Saab organised his Fashion show in Abdeen Place in December.

The Italian designer Stefano Ricci — one of the most expensive brands in Europe —was supposed to hold a fashion show to celebrate the 50th anniversary of establishing his company in front of the Temple of Hatshepsut in Luxor in March, but it was postponed to October due to the war in Ukraine, taking into consideration the conditions and the feelings of the people involved in the war.

Notably, CEO of ETPB Amr Al-Kady told Daily News Egypt earlier in an interview that the Pharaohs’ Golden Parade and the Luxor Sphinx Avenue reopening had a very positive impact on tourism in Egypt, as they established two essential things: That Egypt is a safe country, and the state has a great ability to organise major events. Also, the two events witnessed high praise from the international community.

“Also, since then, we have received many requests to organise different events in Egypt’s archaeological locales and museums,” he revealed.
