Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi has reaffirmed Egypt’s firm stance against the displacement of the Palestinian people from their land under any pretext.
Speaking at the 41st cultural symposium of the Armed Forces on Martyr and Veteran’s Day on Tuesday, Al-Sisi emphasized Egypt’s commitment to regional security and peace, stating that the only solution is through justice and the establishment of a Palestinian state.
The president paid tribute to the resilience of the Palestinian people, stressing that Egypt will continue to support them in their struggle for survival and self-determination. He also commended the Egyptian people and armed forces for their efforts in strengthening the country’s military, political, and economic capabilities, which have enabled Egypt to overcome challenges and stand strong against threats.
Al-Sisi’s remarks come amid Israeli attempts to forcibly displace Palestinians, a move aligned with a proposal by former US President Donald Trump. In response, Egypt has put forward an alternative plan to rebuild Gaza without displacing its people—a proposal that has been approved by the Arab League.
