CAIRO: A woman who married two men at the same time was reported to the police by her second husband, who had tied the knot without prior knowledge that she was still officially married to another man, Al-Gomhuria newspaper reported.
Mohamed Al Ghandor, 37, of Banha, Qalub, complained that his wife Sabra Abdel Salam, 35, had wedded Mohammed Mahmoud Abu Al Saad, 34, who shortly left for Lebanon after their marriage and had not been seen for 12 years.
After the first husband left, Sabra married her second husband signing a hand-written marriage contract that was not authenticated in a court of law. They had one child who died after a short illness. When the first husband returned she went back to him without confessing that she was married to another man.
The three are being detained for investigation – separately, of course.
