ISMAILIA: Egyptian League runners-up Ismaili are close to appointing Reiner Hollmann as their new coach, the German s agent said on Monday.

The negotiations between Ismaili and Hollmann are at an advanced stage, Ahmed Abbas told FilGoal.com.

Hollmann will arrive on Tuesday to conclude talks with Ismaili. If both parties reach a final agreement, my client will pen the new deal immediately.

Ismaili finally found a replacement for Emad Soliman, who handed in his resignation at the end of last season despite helping the team earn a CAF Champions League spot.

Hollmann had a spell with Cairo giants Ahly in the mid 1990s. He helped the Red Devils win three league titles and one Egyptian Cup.

The 58-year-old then coached several teams in the United Arab Emirates, including Al-Nasr, Al-Shabab and Al-Wehda.
