Zlatan Ibrahimovic scores 500th career goal as remarkable journey continues

Swedish international football star Zlatan Ibrahimovic joined elite company as the third active player to score 500 career goals across his senior career between club and country.

Ibrahimovic’s historic goal came in unique style, as usual, in his side’s (Los Angeles Galaxy) defeat against Toronto in the MLS Eastern Conference, which ended 5-3.

It was Ibrahimovic’s 17th goal in 18 league appearances for the MLS side as his remarkable career continues. His tally of club goals now stands at 438 including strikes for Malmo, Ajax, Juventus, Inter, Barcelona, PSG, AC Milan, and Manchester United. The 36 year old also has 62 goals for Sweden’s national team.

Ibrahimovic has become the third player to score 500 goals throughout his career after Argentina’s Lionel Messi and Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo.
