CAIRO: Enyimba striker Stephen Worgu is confident ahead of Sunday s anticipated clash against Ahly in the CAF Champions League semi-final in Cairo.

After a goalless draw in the first leg in Nigeria, the Egyptian champions became favorites to qualify for the competition s final for the fourth consecutive year.

Worgu, however, is not intimidated by the position of the five-time African champions as he issued a warning to Manuel Jose s team.

The second leg will be more open because Ahly know they must attack to win and I am sure we will capitalize on it, Worgu told KickOffNigeria.com.

In the first leg we wanted to win by as many as three goals to make the second leg a mere formality but sometimes football does not go the way you want it, he added, assuring that the team did its best but the goals failed to come.

The 19-year-old is heavily linked with a move to the Red Devils in the winter transfer window, but to date, they are his rivals.

Former Nigeria U-21 tactician Tunde Disu backed Worgu s saying Enyimba are capable of beating Ahly in their neck of the woods.

“The Ahly team I watched was not fantastic and they are beatable. The pressure is on them now to score goals to win but Enyimba has good attackers that are capable of turning the table against them in Cairo, said Disu.

Moreover, Disu acclaimed his former employee, who scored 13 goals in the competition so far, to give Ahly a difficult night at Cairo Stadium.

If you have a striker like that you can use his strengths to get the needed result, he added. Worgu played under me and I know with a good striking partner he will cause Ahly a lot of problems.
