CAIRO: Ittihad’s players will be fined despite beating Harras Hodoud 2-0 in the Egyptian Premier League on Tuesday.
The Alexandrian side decided to punish the senior team for slumping to a 6-3 loss at home to Military Production on October 1st before the league stoppage.
Ittihad got back to winning ways upon defeating Hodoud away but the victory didn’t grant them a reprieve.
"We will impose the sanction on the players, which is 10 percent deduction from their wages," Ittihad’s board member Sherif Al-Helw told FilGoal.com.
"They should get bonus for their victory over Hodoud too."
Now Ittihad lie 11th in the Egyptian Premier League table on nine points.
