Part of the Auto Feeding Company (AFC) will withdraw from the events of the annual Automech Formula Exhibition (AFE), set to take place in the Cairo International Conference Center (CICC) from 12 to 17 March.
Ali Tawfiq, Chairman of the Egyptian Auto Feeders Association (EAFA), confirmed to Daily News Egypt that 12 AFC subsidiaries have asked to participate in AFE, but some companies decided not to participate, after a fire that broke out in the CICC.
Tawfiq stated that five subsidiaries decided not to participate in the AFE events as the fire reached the section that was dedicated to the AFC, estimated at 100 metres. Moreover, security procedures were not provided to the companies.
Last week, a fire broke out in one of CICC’s buildings. It was controlled in four hours by fire station forces and armed forces aircrafts.
