The Tahya Misr or ‘Long Live Egypt’ fund (account no. 306306) will launch a programme to support factories that are facing difficulties in their operations in terms if donations, announced Executive Director Mohamed Ashmawy on Thursday.
Further details will be announced within two weeks, Ashmawy added.
The fund seeks to provide job opportunities for Egyptian youth and improve provinces. The fund also seeks to combat the Hepatitis C virus.
The fund’s board of directors include business tycoon Naguib Sawiris, Minister of Planning Ashraf Al-Araby, Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt Hisham Ramez, Minister of Finance Hany Kadry Dimian and Minister of Justice Ahmed El-Zind. The board of directors is headed by Egyptian Prime Minister Sherif Ismail and supervised by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi.
