The US-origin personal car market in Egypt achieved sales of about EGP 3.6bn during the first 10 months of 2015, at about EGP 28bn.
This represents 12.8% of the total sales value of the automotive market in Egypt during that period.
US cars recorded sales of about 22,600 cars, out of the total automotive market sales of 163,700 cars, and acquired 13.8% of the number of cars sold in the personal car market in Egypt.
The Chevrolet Aveo topped the list of most US cars sold in Egypt, achieving sales of EGP 793m with more than 7,268 cars during the first 10 months of 2015.
The Chevrolet Lanos came in second on the list with sales estimated at EGP 626m with 7,160 cars sold, and the Chevrolet Optra came in third with sales estimated at about EGP 322m, with 2,584 cars sold.
