Mubarak lays wreaths on tomb of unknown solider

CAIRO: President Hosni Mubarak laid a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the Cairo suburb of Madinet Nasr on the occasion of Sinai Liberation Day, reported the State Information Service.

The president was welcomed by General Commander of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production Hussein Tantawi, Armed Forces Chief of Staff Sami Anan and a number of senior armed forces officers, the reports added.

The ceremony was attended by the prime minister, the People s Assembly and Shura Council speakers, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and the ministers of defence, the interior, information and state for military production and the governor of Cairo.

Mubarak also laid wreaths on the tomb of late President Anwar El-Sadat
