Exchange bureaux companies operating in the Egyptian market began on Thursday morning to buy US dollars at EGP 13 and sell at EGP 14.35.
The head of one of the exchange companies said that the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) sent instructions to the companies with the exchange rate price.
He noted that the companies have to abide by the CBE’s decisions, adding that the CBE’s decisions aim to eliminate the black market and further speculations on the exchange rate.
