Al-Sisi, Modi discuss coronavirus cooperation

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi discussed with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi joint efforts to curb the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19), during a phone conversation on Friday. 

The Egyptian presidency said in a statement that both leaders agreed on exchanging experiences in combating the pandemic and preventive healthcare. They also discussed promoting joint cooperation in the fields of health, technology, and scientific research.

Al-Sisi and Modi tackled areas of economic cooperation between the two countries, and agreed to increase bilateral trade and investment.

So far, India has 13,835 coronavirus infections and 452 deaths, while Egypt has 2,673 and 196 fatalities of the virus.
