Orange was always keen to support the state’s efforts since the outbreak of coronavirus and stand by the Egyptians in these difficult circumstances despite the current decline in the daily infected cases.
Under the initiative Orange aims to support the health sector by combating COVID-19 and providing the necessary support to quarantine, isolation and fever hospitals, as well as university and charitable hospitals including the National Cancer Institute in Cairo, Tanta University Hospital in Gharbeya, and Al-Rajhi University Hospital in Assiut.
For her part, Hala Abdel Wadood, Head of Public Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility at Orange Egypt, praised this cooperation that supports our community and the health sector in Egypt that requires considerable attention in this critical time. She unveiled that Orange Egypt focused on this sector since the outbreak of the pandemic through cooperation with its partners and civil society institutions with the aim of providing all means of support to the Egyptians in battling against COVID 19, its repercussions, and negative impacts.
“This initiative devoted efforts to support the State and its institutions to eliminate the spread of COVID-19 through providing COVID-19 detection kits, noting that time is a really crucial factor to get fast results in the shortest possible time during this pandemic, as it can help in identifying the appropriate treatment for the cases so that doctors can initiate treatment accordingly,” she added.
Abdel Wadood explained that providing the three aforementioned hospitals with the necessary tools aims to cover large areas with the vital health care services as they are all central hospitals that provide services to many of the surrounding governorates.
