Mini Egypt recently launched the new updated version of the Countryman model for 2021 in the Egyptian market, which comes within the luxury compact SUV category. The Countryman version can be recognised through some new updates internally and externally, most notably a new front grille design, with a new front and rear bumper, and the LED headlamps that came with a new design with the ability to direct lighting in curves to improve the driver’s visibility, as well as front and rear fog lights LED UNION JACK, power-folding side mirrors, roof beams, 17-inch wheels, and other exclusive distinctive touches.
An enhanced interior … better in every way!
If the cabin of the current generation of Countryman cars went a step further compared to the previous generation, then the Countryman version improved for 2021 is clearly better. In all this generation, there are three large seats that accommodate three adults in the rear area. At the front, the driver and front passenger benefit from head and shoulder room. In practical terms, the latest Countryman now offers load spaces of 450 litres, with the possibility of increasing it to 1390 litres with the folding of the rear seats. Once inside the new Countryman cabin, the driver is surrounded by a cabin covered in carbon fibre cloth and a floor made of velour.
Equipment that will put a smile on your face
The latest MINI Countryman offers a long and varied package of comfort and luxury equipment. This category benefits from an automatic air conditioner, with a new redesigned digital cluster screen, a new digital instrument cluster, an entertainment system attached to a 5.0-inch display, with the ability to connect the phone through the Apple car play app, an audio system, radio, and a navigation system. Among other equipment, it is possible to mention a special Mini Driving Modes system, the PDC row distance control system, sport seats for the driver and front passenger, not to mention the multi-function steering wheel made of leather, special glass for protection from sunlight, front and middle armrest in the back row, the possibility of adjusting the rear seats, and the Mini Excitement Package,
On the other hand, Mini Countryman S adds comfort and luxury equipment to the previous equipment by adding sport seats for the driver and front passenger covered in leather and cloth. The exterior lighting package as well as the interior lighting in the cabin, with a rear camera, parking assist system, and the keyless entry system, along with a panoramic roof, heat-insulating glass, and a larger fuel tank.
On the technical front, Countryman has benefited from all its classes from a variety of advanced technical driving assistance systems, which are usually only available with higher models, including the DSC electronic stability control system and the EDLC electronic centre differential lock control system that work in parallel with the handling dynamic DTC and CBC systems in addition to cruise control with braking function when required, and park assist system for entering or exiting the PDC, next to the standard use of the ABS system. As for the stagnant safety equipment, there are various airbags of up to six airbags, and ISOFIX points for child seats in the back, not to mention the three-point safety belts in the front, supported by pre-tensioning and gradual loosening properties.
Two options of engines for the Mini Countryman in Egypt are available. Mechanically, under the front cover of the new Countryman crossover sits an engine with a 1.5-liter “turbocharged”. This powerful engine delivers 136 horsepower and a maximum torque of 220 Nm. The engine is connected to a “Steptronic” dual-clutch gearbox, which transmits torque to the front wheels. This gets the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.6 seconds.
As for the engine of the Countryman S version, it is equipped with a two-liter “turbo” air charger. This powerful engine delivers 192 hp with a maximum torque of 280 Nm. The engine is connected to a “Steptronic” dual-clutch gearbox, which transmits torque to the front wheels. This puts the acceleration at 7.5 seconds, before a top speed of 225 km / h is recorded.
