The Opel automaker’s Astra model stood at the forefront of European models sold in the Egyptian market in January and February.
The German car manufacturer sold 626 Astra models at an estimated value of EGP 134m.
The French automaker Peugeot sold 563 of the 301 models at an estimated value of EGP 67.5m and 370 of the 508 models at a value of EGP 95.8m, ranking second and third in total sales.
Opel sold 316 Insignia models at a value of EGP 99.5m. Skoda sold 315 Octavia models at a value of EGP 59.8m to place fifth in total sales.
In January, 289 of Peugeot’s 508 models sold at a value of EGP 74m, to post the highest sales among European automakers.
Opel sold 268 Astra models valued at EGP 56m, despite being absent among the leading automakers in the Egyptian market in 2015.Renault sold 200 StepWay models valued at EGP 25m in January.
Skoda sold 200 Octavia models valued at EGP 37.9m, to place fourth in sales in January. The Peugeot 3008 sold 176 models at a value of EGP 41m.
