Abdel Ghaffar reviews institutional development project in Health Ministry

Egypt’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, recently chaired a meeting with senior officials from the Ministry of Health. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the “Ministry’s Institutional Development Project,” which is being implemented in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

During the meeting, Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, highlighted the project’s importance in streamlining work within the Ministry. The project aims to establish an integrated and harmonized system, where each sector plays its designated role in organizing health services. Strategies, implementation monitoring, support, and governance are key components of this initiative, ultimately contributing to citizens’ well-being and a healthy, safe life.

Abdel Ghaffar emphasized the adoption of best international practices for health institutional development. The project also explores recommendations for transferring these practices to the Ministry, while discussing concepts and mechanisms related to the Ministry’s role and service scope.

Furthermore, the Minister discussed guiding principles for the Ministry’s organizational structure, focusing on governance, operational excellence, and adherence to global standards.
