A rally of hundreds of university workers gathered outside the Cairo University dome on Wednesday at Noon, embarking on a march co-organised by the Revolutionary Socialists to the cabinet in down town demanding social justice. Almost 800 protesters made it to cabinet, some of them intending on holding a sit-in in front of the cabinet. The protesters’ demands range from monetary raises to giving them the right to participate in electing the Deans and University chairs and having them represented in the Supreme Universities Council.
