ETA reveals top 10 taxpayers for FY 2012-2013

The Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA) announced the top 10 tax payers for the current fiscal year 2012-2013 in a statement on Wednesday.

Commercial International Bank (CIB) topped the list, paying EGP 836m in tax during the year, followed by Telecom Egypt with EGP 623m.

The United Gas Derivatives Company (UGDC) came in third place with EGP 574m.

HSBC placed fourth, paying EGP 500m. It was followed by the Egyptian Natural Gas Company (GASCO) with EGP 426m, and the Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt (FIB) with EGP 392m.

The National Societe Generale Bank of Egypt (NSGB) placed sixth, paying EGP336m. It was followed by the Arab Petroleum Service Company (APSCO), which paid EGP286m; Ezz Al-Dekheila Steel Company, which paid EGP274m; and the Sidi Kerir Petrochemical Company (SIDPEC), which paid EGP 273m.
