Nissan Egypt has announced the launch of the modified version of its fifth generation Urvan microbus to the local market, which will be sold at an official price of EGP 655,000.

During a virtual press conference, the company introduced some modifications to the new version of the vehicle, which will be sold in one category. It features a new elegant and modern design, with a V-Motion front grille, which is the car brand’s new signature feature.

The Nissan Urvan’s new design includes larger and uniquely shaped fog lamps, providing more lighting for the driver, and a distinctive stronger bumper. In addition, it has  rear rain wipers that both increases visibility and the driver’s confidence on the road under any conditions.

The Urvan is available with a turbo engine, one of the most prominent engines launched by Nissan, and which has a proven track record and strong performance in a number of Nissan models. It also comes with 16-valve direct fuel injection, and a large tank of up to 65 litres for extra safety during longer trips

The Urvan is also characterised by its economical fuel consumption, with a rate of 12.6km per litre, ensuring the best performance from the car with the lowest consumption of fuel.

The engine works with a five-speed manual transmission, and is extremely efficient on the road. It delivers the highest torque in its class, with reduced harmful emissions, helping companies and drivers reduce costs and preserve the environment.

The Urvan is characterised by wide door spaces that allow comfort and freedom during the ride. The length of the door comes in at 165 cm, with the door at 19.5 cm off the ground, to suit driving in Egypt’s streets.

The model comes with an ABS brake system to prevent skidding, and a BAS system which maintains the car’s stability on strong curves and helps prevent it from swerving. It also features two airbags for the driver and front passenger.

Moreover, the car’s chassis is doubly reinforced, to protect all passengers in case of emergency. This is in addition to distributing the brakes according to the weights of the car, between the front and rear wheels, and increasing the braking force in cases of an emergency.

The car has a special feature in the seat belt for the driver and front passenger. A sensor in the belt is activated, in case of an accident, to increase its pulling force, which prevents collisions with the steering wheel or windshield.

The modified version of the Urvan is distinguished by many comfort factors, represented in the increased internal space between the 15 seats available inside. There are also 18 air-conditioning openings to ensure an even and healthy distribution of air, and the various internal storage spaces. The internal storage can be increased by folding the rear chairs to increase storage space.
