England’s Chelsea SC topped the list of the most profitable clubs in the last two transfer windows, as the London club had spent only £38m on the transfer of Croatian Mateo Kovačić from Real Madrid.
According to The Sun, Chelsea sold other players for €211m, mainly Belgian star Eden Hazard, who moved to Real Madrid last summer for €100m.
Second on the list were the Portuguese Benfica which spent £54m and sold players for £194m making profits of €140m.
Real Madrid were the top spending club recently having spent £279m to buy players, while they sold others for £126m.
Aston Villa, for which the Egyptian duo Mahmoud Trezeguet and Ahmed Al-Mohammady play, were the second on the list after spending £145m to buy new players and selling others for £3m.
